The Midnight Montmartre Collection, Lautrec's Dream Wear

This print collection surfaced as I was dressing my dad after an operation and my sister awaking from a coma of hellish hallucinations after a car crash. The staleness of hospitals inspired me to create garments that makes the wearer feel like they are being hugged by their loved ones. I created five 1.9Mx5M prints with no repeat with hidden love messages in each garment. Once home I was looking for accessible pyjamas that offered comfort and luxury but, also easy to take on and off. I used magnets for the shirts and garments that can be pulled over ones head. Seeking inspiration and I extensively artists overalls, bed-shirts and nightgowns. I made huge blankets that also can be wallhanging and screen printed them. Each piece whispers secrets of café conversations, and the bohemian spirit of Parisian nights. The fabrics, adorned with colour and ghostly figures, create a delicate tapestry of memories, subtly reviving forgotten dreams. My goal is that each garment allows the wearer to be enveloped in a gentle embrace of nostalgia and dreams.
